Long lost parents....

Have I mentioned that my daughter is hilarious? This is what she said to her Grandpa after we have been gone in DC for a week as told by Grandma:

"Your daughter told her Grandpa that she misses her mom. She can't remember what she looks like. She knows she has short hair but I can't remember what she looks like. Now she didn't even mention Nate so she probably forgot she even has a father! On the way home from the school I was pointing out something by my house and she said you mean the house I am living at right now? She has a way with words!"
That's my girl!

Gettysburg

We went to Gettysburg last Wed through Friday with Billy and Megan and it was fun to see where all the battles there took place. We could not believe what a vast area the battle covered and how many people were actually there fighting. It was a lot of fun and has kicked off a interest in the Civil War for all of us.

Nate thought it was funny to have me stand under the Abraham's Lady sign. Maybe cause I'm just so dang cute....

Too much fun in the sun in St. George, UT

Aunt Terri Anne made everyone shirts that said "We could of vacationed in Hawaii but we came to St. George instead!" Everyone else was supposed to go to Hawaii this week but the airline they booked on went bankrupt. So I bummed a ride to this vacation. :)
We hiked in Snow Canyon State Park today. Livi said it was so much fun for our vacation.
My little girl by a little palm tree. She thought they were silly trees that look like pineapples so she kept calling them pine trees. We got her straightened out...

My little fish... as long as her head isn't under water. They have a kid pool that is only 2 ft and she loves it!

We got her to go under the water if she wore her goggles and I plugged her nose. She even did it twice. That is pretty good for her. Maybe swimming lessons will go better this year....

Looking for ideas...

I am in charge of our Graduating Seniors Night with all the young men and young women in the Ward. I need some decorating ideas and gift ideas for the Seniors. I know that lots of you have been in Young Womens or used to be one yourself :) so think back and post some ideas for me! It is on May 14th (I procrastinated a little) so any help would be great! So far I have some decorations and Leis from Oriental Trading Company, we will do a match the baby picture to the Senior type of thing, and have a Hawaiian Haystack style buffet. Thanks!

Play Dough

I found this recipe online for Playdough and it works pretty good. Ours was a little sticky after it was done but I just added a little flour and that helped. I had to add flour each time she played with it but we've had it for almost 2 weeks and it's still moist!
Makes 2 cups Ready in 30 minutes
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tbs cream of tarter
2 tbs vegetable oil
1 cup warm water
1 three oz. pkg jello (any flavor)
Directions
Combine ingredients and cook over medium heat until it thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pot and becomes dull. *Note: It burns easily so don't put over too high a heat and keep stirring. Mold and knead until cool enough to touch. Store in a closed plastic bag.

My new haircut

So I talked my Mom into going and getting a haircut with me for Family Home Evening on Monday night. She had only been home from Utah for maybe 2 hours but I talked her into some mommy-daughter bonding time. So at 7:45pm we went for a haircut! You can't really tell from this pic but my hair is in a lot of short layers in the back so it's a really short hair cut but you can't tell from the front. I love it because it stays out of my eyes!

Poser...

Livi's latest thing is posing for the camera... She's really not that great at it. This is her idea of a pose... I think she keeps doing it because I laugh every time.
